Emory Transplant Health Services and Outcomes Research Study
Emory Transplant Data Mart
The Emory Transplant Center (ETC) Transplant Data Mart is a consolidated transplant data repository that integrates Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW), pre-transplant tracking through the Organ Transplant Tracking Record (OTTR), Nautilus laboratory information systems (LIMS) for lab samples, histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA) matching data from HistoTrac, United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) donor data, and REDCap systems into a HIPAA-compliant Oracle database in near real-time (< 24 hour time lag).
Data elements include patient demographics, longitudinal measures of patient health status from the time of referral to the ETC through long-term post-transplant follow-up, treatment protocol information, detailed transplant surgery information, and outcome data on infections, acute rejection episodes, hospitalization, graft failure, and mortality.
This repository allows a robust means to obtain data on specific data elements, such as an evaluation of within-patient as well as population-level trends over time, with minimal processing skills.
