As a regional center for the treatment of oral and maxillofacial disorders for adult and pediatric patients, faculty surgeons of Emory's Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provide clinical services at various facilities in the Atlanta area, one of which is the Oral Surgery Clinic at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Gary Bouloux is chief of the oral and maxillofacial surgery service at Grady. He is supported by additional Emory oral and maxillofacial surgeons Dr. Shelly Abramowicz, Dr. Dina Amin, Dr. Stephanie Drew, Dr. Sam Farish, and Dr. Steven Roser.

Emory OMS faculty surgeons also treat facial and craniofacial trauma at Grady's Level I trauma center. "Grady provides a truly unique experience in the volume and severity of facial trauma that cannot be found in many Level I trauma centers in the country," says Dr. Bouloux.

Additionally, Emory oral and maxillofacial surgeons provide surgical services at Grady's oral and maxillofacial surgery outpatient clinic, including temporomandibular joint surgery, oral pathology (cysts/tumors), treatment of dental infections, jaw reconstruction, general anesthesia (for wisdom teeth), and single and multiple tooth extractions.
