Pediatric Surgery Residency Current Fellows
Irving Zamora, MD, is the first year pediatric surgery fellow. Dr. Zamora did his general surgery residency at the University of Florida. He also did a postdoctoral research fellowship in pediatric surgery at Texas Children's Hospital.
The second year pediatric surgery fellow is Lucas Neff, MD, who did his general surgery residency at Wake Forest University. He then deployed as a staff surgeon to Bagram, Afghanistan, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom for the Unites States Air Force. Prior to coming to Emory, he was an assistant professor of surgery at the University of California, Davis. His research interests include trauma and bio-engineering.
