The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery at Emory is a leading minimally invasive surgery center, and specializes in surgeries on organs and tissues inside the abdomen, including:
• Hernia surgery
• Bariatric (weight loss) surgery
• Colon and rectal surgery
• Gastroesophageal surgery
• Solid organ surgery
Emory general surgeons staff the Emory Endosurgery Unit for Minimally Invasive Surgery, which is dedicated to advancing minimally invasive surgery through education, research, surgical treatment, and multidisciplinary collaboration, and provide surgical services through such clinical programs as the Emory Bariatric Center and Emory's Comprehensive Liver Program.
