A component of the Emory Endosurgery Unit that was established by a 2003 grant from the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, the Emory Simulation, Training, and Robotics Center (ESTAR) has expanded and diversified by building and nurturing a variety of symbiotic relationships with corporate institutions, who provide grants and gifts and supply the hardware/software systems used in the center's investigational and training endeavors.
