Biography

Dr. Shashidharan received her MD from the Bangalore Medical College of Bangalore, India, in 2002. Her postgraduate medical training included a residency in general surgery at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and the completion of fellowships in cardiothoracic surgery and congenital cardiac surgery at the University of Southern California. She is primarily based at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Scottish Rite hospitals.

Dr. Shashidharan's clinical specialties are cardiac transplant, congenital heart surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, and thoracic surgery, while her primary research interests are quality improvement and clinical outcomes in congenital cardiac surgery, and aspirin resistance in children following cardiac surgery procedures.
