Dr. Rajani attended medical school at the University of Michigan, did his general surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic, undertook his surgical critical care residency and trauma fellowship at Emory, and completed his vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Since joining Emory in 2011 as the chief of vascular and endovascular surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital, he has been heavily involved with the development of cardiovascular services at the facility.

He is also the associate program director for the general surgery residency, and oversees surgical education at Grady. The vascular surgery service currently trains residents from both Emory University and the Morehouse schools of medicine, and includes trainees from vascular surgery, general surgery, interventional radiology, and trauma surgery.

Dr. Rajani is particularly interested in refining thoracic stent graft technology for treating blunt aortic injury, and has been both site and national PI for several vascular trauma-specific clinical trials at Grady.
