Biography

Dr. Gustavo Parrilla is a heart and lung procurement surgeon for the Emory Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and procures organs at non-Emory facilities across the state and region. Dr. Parrilla received his MD and completed his general surgery and thoracic surgery residencies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires School of Medicine. He did his thoracic surgery fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and completed his fellowship in thoracic transplant surgery at Duke University Hospital. Prior to joining the faculty at Emory, Dr. Parrilla was deputy chief of the lung transplant division at Hospital Universitario Favaloro, Buenos Aires.
