Dr. Ahmed Nassar received his MD from Alexandria Medical School, Egypt, in 2012. He completed his general surgery residency in 2019, and his research fellowship in ex-vivo organ perfusion in 2014, both at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. During his research fellowship, he assisted in developing an organ perfusion device that received an investigational device exemption from the FDA for clinical use. He joined the Emory Department of Surgery in 2021 after completing his abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the Emory Transplant Center.
